40th Anniversary Event of the 1972 Munich Olympics Massacre

This Sunday at 6:45 pm in memory of the 40th anniversary of the 1972 Munich Olympics where 11 Israelis were massacred, Chabad of NW Metro Denver will screen the documentary One Day is September.

 

Following the film, Erin Gailor who was at the Olympic Village at the time and saw the entire drama unfold before her will join us via skype.

Erin’s on site presence at the Games, coupled with her eye witness account will offer us a unique glimpse into this tragic event. Erin will offer a brief presentation and lead a Q&A.

Please join as we pay respects to the murdered Israeli athletes and remember that One Day in September.

A candle lighting memorial will begin the program.

About Erin Gailor
Erin Gailor is a Montessori teacher and former school principal. She is married to a Canadian Foreign Service officer of Canada and is the mother of two children. Erin and her husband have just completed an assignment in Raleigh, North Carolina and are relocating to Ottawa, Ontario.

During the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Erin worked for the Ceylon Tea Board and was based in the Olympic Village.
